With the up close and personal views of the gleaming equatorial ice, Cotopaxi captures the imagination of trekkers’ imagination. You will be charmed by the people met along the way, many of whom still practice subsistence farming. The walk in the mysterious paramo, an ecosystem likened to the Scottish moors offers alpine plant lovers an exquisite garden to investigate.
